Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Client Services Project Manager with experience in software product development. The ideal candidate will excel in managing client relationships, project budgets, and timelines within the dynamic environment of software product development. This role requires a strong understanding of software development processes, coupled with exceptional communication and negotiation skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products that meet and exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, understanding, and alignment of project objectives and deliverables.
  2. Requirements Gathering and Scope Management: Collaborate with clients and Head of Product to gather and document detailed project requirements, manage scope changes effectively, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  3. Financial Management: Manage project budgets as necessary to ensure projects stay within budget constraints.
  4. Timeline Management: Develop project schedules, collaborate with senior management to allocate resources, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered within agreed-upon timelines.
  5. Quality Assurance: Involvement in quality assurance processes to ensure software products meet client expectations and adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  6. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication channels with clients, internal development teams, and senior management. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  7. Conflict Resolution: Effectively manage conflicts or disagreements with clients, internal teams, or stakeholders while maintaining positive relationships and ensuring project objectives are met.
  8. Resource Allocation: Work with other departments to allocate resource effectively to meet project timelines and deliverables, making adjustments as necessary to accommodate ever changing client demands and business priorities.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation, soliciting feedback from clients and team members to drive continuous improvement in project delivery and client satisfaction.
  10. Leadership and Team Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Motivate team members to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in client services or project management within the software product development industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, project budgets, and timelines effectively.
  • Technical background with a solid understanding of software development concepts and processes.
  • PMP or Agile certification is a plus.
